Salted Caramel Cookies :D

Hello fellow bakers, Maid Mari here again with *another* cookie recipe. This one, however, was inspired by myself stumbling upon a bottle of salted caramel topping :3

And to those concerned, this topping is safe for my consumption, thank you.

Let’s get into the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Salted caramel topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375∘.

  2. Set aside a small bowl of salted caramel topping.

  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.

  4. Combine the butter and both sugars until fluffy.

  5. Add the eggs and mix until well combined.

  6. Add in the vanilla extract.

  7. Add in the flour mixture until it forms a tacky dough.

  8. Form balls of cookie dough, around 1/8 cup, or 2 tbsp.

  9. Coat the dough ball thoroughly with salted caramel topping (see note).

  10. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

  11. Enjoy!

Notes:

For the dough ball, coat the top half only to ensure the cookie bakes evenly throughout!

MMMMMM delicious caramel goodness!!!!

Testimonials:

These were deemed very good, according to Toki and Moon!! You can ask them, I promise :3

I think these are so so good, especially if you’re not a super huge fan of very sweet desserts like me! They have a higher salt content, which is why I'm addicted to them. Feel free to tune into my Instagram stories (@wan.wan.mari) to ask for specific recipes, or tell Head Maid Sae any recipes you want to see from me in the future!

With love ♥,

Marinette
