Nico's first time at WrestleMania

Hello everyone! It's your favorite vampire monster hunter, Nico! Welcome to my very first blog post. Today I'm going to tell you about my first time at WRESTLEMANIA!!! There will be spoilers ahead. (04.01.2023)

First thing on my list was to get some merchandise. I am very smol, so I knew none of the shirts would fit me too well. I thought if there was one shirt I was very drawn to, then I would buy it and use it as a relaxing time shirt. Alas, there was no shirt that I was particularly fond of. HOWEVER! There was this cool little guy with glasses who has since been named ‘Hubert’.

After Hubert had joined me on my adventure, it was time for me to find my seat. It was a solid 10 min walk, the SoFi stadium is pretty big. I could have entered from a more convenient area to reach my seat faster, but I was so excited that I just went right in from the area I had parked in. Luckily the workers at the event were very helpful. Shoutout to them. Finally, I reached my seat.

In the midst of absorbing the awesomeness of WrestleMania around me I realized something. Something so obvious that I made myself laugh for not realizing it a lot sooner. The ring is actually very small! On TV it looks so big, but it's really not! The camera people work hard to get those right angles. After some time of sitting and waiting, the event finally began!

I was very surprised to see Snoop Dogg and Bad Bunny. It was a pleasant surprise (not for long).

There were a total of 8 fights that night. I really enjoyed seeing John Cena fight as he is one of the top legends of WWE. However, my favorite fight by far was the father son duo ‘Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio’. I would consider Rey one of the top legends of WWE as well. He was very close to my favorite wrestler Eddie Guerro, who sadly passed away in 2005. During Rey’s intro, he played the beginning part of Eddie's intro which sent me into a screaming frenzy. (As seen below, audio warning - I am screaming) I was just very happy to be able to experience his intro live. Rey even showed up in a low rider the way Eddie would. Dom has adopted a villain role within WWE which I am very fond of. I was rooting for him to win all the way. I was the only person cheering him on instead of booing him. Things were looking up for Dom, he was about to use a hidden chain to win the match BUT THEN BAD BUNNY CAME UP FROM BEHIND AND TOOK IT FROM HIM! Rey then won the match and I was very upset with Bad Bunny.

The other fights were also very entertaining! There were a total of eight. Other notable mentions for me was the four team match between Braun Strowman & Ricochet vs. The Street Profits vs. Alpha Academy vs. Viking Raiders. I was cheering for the Vikings, but they didn’t win. Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley was also a very good match. People went INSANE for that one. I could go on with details, but I would love for fellow fans to be able to enjoy the matches first hand. All in all, I had a very good time at WrestleMania. I highly recommend fellow WWE fans to try out an event, even if it's just once! This was something I had been wanting to do for years, but never had the chance. So I am very glad I was finally able to do so and I even brought home a friend to remember the good times. 10/10 fun times.
