Star (lite) Garden 10.30.25 retrospective

Hello party people ☆ im running a little behind, excuse my mess, but i don't have any less to say! At the end of October Asayoru held our very first Star(lite)Garden which, if you didn't know, was a smaller in-house version of Asayoru's Star Garden wherein outside talents both local and from overseas come to perform, this event was also held later in the night and had a special cafe shift to follow it up! I was originally debating on whether or not to go because i had to be at USIF the next morning, but we don't have many events held at home that are so late into the day, in the end i figured i didnt have any excuse NOT to go. AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID!! The performance lineup for the night was incredible ( i am biased but im also right), each performer really brought their own unique appeal and energy to the stage that night, the audience was super lively throughout both the live and the mayonaka shift☆ Allow me to recap you on each performance ~

Our first group of the night was Oyasumimi, a duo idol group with (maid) Rose and Cherri, if you haven't heard of them before they actually made their debut early this year and have been working very hard through the summer and fall season. I'd known that they fully packed their October with performances for their Oyasuween tour, but I hadn't had the opportunity to see them perform until this night. The tours theme was Dream Clinic, i don't know how they knew that I'd been having nightmares all fall but they promised to cure me with their performance, and they delivered! Their choice of music and technical dance skill were very impressive, tied together with the overall theming and super cute outfits, their performance definitely made an impression! Keep an eye out for Oyasumimi 🌙⭐️

Cafe enjoyers have most definitely seen these two before, Asayoru's own iconic Sissy Duo ™️, this time as Strawberry Sunday! The sisters have a very special charm to them, you can most definitely feel the sister synergy in everything they do, i especially liked the outfit change to a darker themed set which really complimented their solo performances. Ive seen quite a few performances and i always really enjoy their choices of songs and their crowd work that goes with those choices, the inclusion of Honey in this particular performance set was my favorite for many reasons ♡🍓i know many of you are looking super forward to seeing much more of them!

Having absolutely no prior knowledge of our overseas guest talents, i was coming in fully blind and was completely blown away by Setxuna's stage presence and stylistic choices. She commanded attention as soon a she stepped onto the stage and for sure left with more fans in her pocket (me). Her performances were vocally heavy and jazzy, performing both original and cover songs! Her single "Not Juliet" made its way to my regular repeat playlist 💜 .

After Setxuna's set, the crowd was definitely abuzz and excited for our next overseas talents. Meikai Oceanus made their way on stage and everyone was already enamored, each member had a very distinct style and vibe to them that really made them shine! The energy they brought definitely had the crowd hyped up regardless of their familiarity with the songs and their fanservice/interactions were so peak🥺❤️i heard that theyre going to be disbanding in Feb. so show them lots of love!!

All the Taiwanese guest idols opened a lot of attendees eyes to idols from all over, standing in the crowd i heard that many weren't aware that there was such a scene in other countries,, on the opposite end there were people who came specifically to see our guests have never been to or heard of Asayoru before! There's always new things to discover and learn about i guess wwwww,,

Moe↗Age, of course, closed out the night with a high energy performance (in maid!!) that showed all the first timers what theyre all about. I actually really enjoy watching the audience's reception and reactions to Moe↗Age, seeing and hearing the excitement coming from both the stage and the crowd creates a perfect storm of tension in the venue that everyone can feel. When you're standing out on the floor, even if you don't know anything, and you see everyone around you having a good time jumping and chanting , i think you can't help but want to know and be a part of it. i was too busy adding to the hype(im just a fan) so i didnt really get any good pictures, my journalism ended when they came onto the stage,, so i drew them instead!

Even after all that, the night was not over! Buppan was in full swing immediately and everyone was absolutely humming with excitement over what they wanted to buy and what they wanted to say. i wont get too into it but,, here is what i came away from that weekend with:

i have no regrets<3

The night actually wrapped up with the special shift that went all the way from 11pm to 1am, absolutely insane work, with the menu mainly consisted of our cafe drinks, parfaits, and small bites. Huge round of applause to the maids, sprites, and fairies that worked so hard into the night, it was an incredible experience and im so happy to have made it. I sincerely hope more of our masters and princesses get to experience the events the cafe puts together, everybody puts so much into them and i think when youre in the moment (and even after) you can really feel how many of us are driven to do things because we ourselves are also huge fans of idols and the culture around them. hope to see you at the next one! dont miss out!!
