Mitsu's Birthday Event Recap ໒꒱

Hello, masters and princesses! Your ichiban tenshi Mitsu is infiltrating the Asayoru Cafe blogs!

It’s been a minute since my birthday event back in early October. Were you able to attend?

I had so much fun at my slumber party with everyone! I really loved seeing everybody in their pajamas. Everyone looked so comfortable and at ease, so naturally it put myself at ease as well!

I’m going to start this blog with a little insight into my planning stages for the event.

For my event, I really wanted to draw my own illustrations for everything. This included the event stamps, event banner, and social media posts. Among other things, anyways.

I think I spent the most time on the event banner illustration, which also doubled as our event stamp. You can view my drawing process below.

I have a little experience in selling fanmade goods before, so I definitely wanted to make some exclusive Mitsu goods for this event as well! I must have been possessed by a powerful entity because I finished all the merch illustration within two days. Here you can see the final products. I made a keychain and pillow of the same design, as well as an acrylic stand of a different design. The pillows were too precious thus I had no choice but to gatekeep them with a raffle ↜(╰ •ω•)╯ψ hehehe. Congratulations to the luckers who defeated the odds and won them! You’ve probably used up a lifetime of your gacha luck (or you just bought a lot of tickets).

Also, I’ve always wanted to design coasters, especially after going to concept cafes in Japan. If you go to a character cafe, an anime cafe, or a maid cafe, you will typically get a cute coaster with your drink. I’ve collected a lot from my time in Japan, and they are all very special to me. I went through a few rough drafts before I eventually settled on my final design.

My final design!

I handed this coaster out with every drink. I wonder if our masters and princesses used it? Or did they wrap it with a napkin and slip it into somewhere safe? *Shower thoughts*

I also prepared some pre-deco chekkis to sell at the event. I was inspired by At-Home Cafe’s Felt’s chekki decos when making these. They all sold out at the event so I’m really happy to see that ꒰⌯͒•·̫•⌯͒꒱♡

Moving onto the performances!

For my event, we performed a total of four songs. We performed the classics Renai Circulation and Aikome Forever, as well as two new songs that I hand-picked out: Furachi na Canvas and Gyutto Milky Way!

As some of you may know, I’m a huge IMAS fan, and the songs I chose were from Starlight Stage, the mobile app game for THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. Furachi na Canvas has always been a favorite bop of mine, and it also features Sachiko Koshimizu, one of my favorite girls (142s love forever!). I ended up choosing Gyutto Milky Way as well because the song was a lot less challenging to dance to, and it fit my pajama party theme perfectly!

I practiced every night for two weeks, and I gave it my all! Of course, I still don’t think I’m quite there, but I made it through the performances in one piece, and I feel very accomplished for that. Baby steps!

By the way, here are the bromide goods from my event! I’m really happy with how the photos came out. If you are wondering where I got my pajama set and accessories, they are all from the Japanese brand Gelato Pique! It’s one of my favorite brands ever. Their designs are super cute and light. They are really famous specifically for their striped pajama sets. They have different thickness variations of them so you can wear different ones for different seasons. I love going to their store in Japan too because all of the staff are in pajamas. It’s a slumber party every day ฅ( ͒ᵕ̳◡ᵕ̳ ͒)。o○ ooooh yeah!

Ok, I feel like I’ve talked enough, so I’ll let you go now. Thank you again so much for attending my event if you did, and if you didn’t, well thank you for reading my blog and I hope that you can attend my or any of the other maids’ future birthday events!

I also do want to take a moment to quickly say thank you to everyone for all the support and love. I could never have envisioned that I would be be throwing a huge slumber party, selling merchandise of myself, and performing in front of so many people for my birthday. But I'm thankful for all of it! I'll keep working hard until the end!

Well I’m off to recharge my halo now, sweet dreams masters and princesses ꒰ঌ^. ̫ .^໒꒱ zz
